The trail itself is pretty nice; it's an actual trail, not your typical crawl through the jungle. We were able to bring Shadow along and he was able to rinse his muddle paws off in the dam after he fell into the stream... (or jumped? But our island lab doesn't like water, go figure).
It's pretty neat that this dam is just hidden in the jungle. It was built in 1910 to supply water to Hagatna. The entire hike is 400 feet down and about a mile long if you want to explore the surrounding area a bit. Apparently there's a memorial site of the August 6, 1997 Korean Air flight 801 crash if you continue further along but we were unable to find that trail head. Maybe next time!
