Lonfit Valley

I went on a hike today with a friend to Lonfit Valley (and learned that the entrance to said hike is literally walking distance from my house). It was a blast! Typically, my hikes end in a serious loss of direction and/or water supply, questionable trails and blood and tears. Today was a more simple 3 hour, 2.4 mile hike down 380 feet. And we didn't get lost once! The hike led to a beautiful waterfall with water flowing fast enough that I didn't question whether or not it was sanitary to step in.



The weather was perfect, no rain all day, and the skies were so blue on the hike back. Here's some photos of the valley:






On the end of the hike, we saw a rain-less rainbow! How does that even happen?!



All in all, it was a great day topped off with a trip to Yogurtland (mint chocolate cookie is back!) and homemade black bean burgers with sweet potato fries. Mmmm!
